Ground rules
- Sources
- Exam facts come from EC-Council's own pages: the certification site, the course page, the candidate handbook and the store. Pay data comes from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics; technical definitions lean on OWASP, MITRE, NIST and FIRST. Every fact page shows the date it was last checked.
- Exam content
- Questions are written for practice. None is recalled from a live exam, and the site links to no dump site: candidates sign a non-disclosure agreement, and EC-Council treats dumps as an ethics violation.
- The safety line
- CEH is a defender's certification, and the pages stay at that level: what an attack class is, how to recognize it in a scenario, how it is detected and stopped, what the rules of engagement require. There are no step-by-step attack procedures or exploit code; tool names and flags appear only as exam vocabulary inside practice questions.
- Numbers left out
- Pass rates, a single passing percentage, pass guarantees, and any figure no primary source confirms, even when other prep sites repeat it.
How a question reaches a page
Taken from the app bank
Questions start in the bank behind the CEH Test Prep apps. Each is mapped to one of the 20 modules of the v13 course; items that no longer fit are dropped.Gaps filled
Where the bank was thin on a blueprint v5.0 topic, new questions were written for it.Answered blind
Each question is answered from its stem and options alone, with the key hidden. A disagreement with the key sends it back to be fixed or replaced.A note on every option
The key's note says why it holds; each wrong option gets a note naming what it confuses.
Money and corrections
The site is free, has no accounts and carries no ads. Its one commercial link is the Get the app button, which leads to the CEH Test Prep listings on the App Store and Google Play. What a press of that button records is set out in full on the privacy page.
